Hello Mr. Partha,

Thanks for your help. I forgot to mention the format, well, its an exe generated from mprojector, rather old version. I did try ispring presenter but no luck with it. I tried to convert the file to video thru swf to video convertors too (ADshareit). Pls recommend some other software for the same.

Thanks

Thanks Mr Partha,
Camtasia is an expensive software. Can you recommend any cheaper ones.
Thank you

@ironeus, I've just now completed the video article on Online Video From YouTube To PowerPoint.

http://www.2webvideo.com/video-production/online-video-youtube-to-powerpoint

Hope this and my HubPages article will meet your purpose. And yes, IMHO you just don't need any external video editor for PowerPoint (the way you want) as pointed out in a post above.

@Ammar, You haven't mentioned the format of your flash file. In any case, try iSpring for both inserting and publishing flash in PowerPoint. iSpring has a free version, http://www.ispringfree.com/.

@ironeus,

I've recently written an article in HubPages on How To Embed & Play Video In PowerPoint 2010. It's available at the following URL:

http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Embed-Play-Video-In-PowerPoint-2010

In this article I've described using the Trim Video function in PowerPoint 2010.

In a coming article in my blog I'll write another article on trimming a YouTube video in PowerPoint. If you're interested in the article, just let me know.

&ironeus,

It's always a pleasure to be of help. Thank you.

@Ammar,

To be frank, I've no idea about mprojector exe. It's good to feel like a student. Usually when I come across video files that are difficult to play elsewhere, I simply screen-record it with Camtasia, and thus have the option of using a wide range of flash formats for final rendering.

Hello,
Another cool feature added to PowerPoint 2010 is the ability to trim any video added to PowerPoint. You can only trim video added to PowerPoint from the local PC folder.
With the trim option, you can either specify the start time and end time or use the slider to select the time.

*To trim the video, select the video in PowerPoint and right click on the video. You will be able to see an option “Trim Video".

*When you select this option, it opens a new window from trimming video. Here you can either specify the start time or end time or use the slider to select the time.

This is very useful feature added to PowerPoint 2010 by which you can do some basic editing and trimming of your videos.

Hi ironeus,

I think you should download video from online site first. Here is an article about how to download video from some video share sites and embed into PowerPoint.
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/blog/category/ppt-tipstricks/embed-youtube-video-into-powerpoint/#155

However if you want to edit your video, I think you need to use a video editor.
Hope can help you

@Ammar,

I use DemoCreator to capture my screen videos. It's much cheaper than Camtasia but still have many useful video editing and output generating features.
