When I save a file with music in it, and open the file on a different machine the music is gone. How do you make it stay?

@ironeus you just need to download and use authorSTREAM Desktop software and it will take care of audio issues. authorSTREAM desktop can handle MP3 and WAV formats as well as videos inserted. For more details, read our blog post "Insert your own videos in PowerPoint presentations and upload to authorSTREAM".

@slides @ironeus correct way is to either insert sound as transition sound or embed it in PowerPoint. MP3 files are not embedded so use WAV file format. Read more... Embed the audio files in PowerPoint.

Its very simple just copy the music file with the powerpoint file and have both the files in same folder.
Hope you have inserted the music from menu>INSERT>MOVIES & SOUNDS>SOUND FROM FILE (if you insert with this method then you won't have to carry the music file along with the PPT file ).
