Do you understand the difference between linked and embedded media in PowerPoint? Are audio files always embedded or video files always linked?

Linked files are the ones that are included in your presentation but would work only if you are presenting on the same computer that you made your presentation on, unless you port all linked files along with the presentation and keep them on the same paths as on the parent computer. "Embedded" files get embedded in the presentation and would work on any computer.

1. Can anyone add some specific details on the HOW of embedding VIDEO in Power Point?
2. As far as I can tell, Power Point 2003 does not 'like' embedded video, but rather allow for LINKED video files. Does anyone know how to overcome this?
3. Does Power Point 2007 allow for embedded videos? If so, what is the process?
4. If Power Point 2007 allows form embedded video, can the file be saved (and than executed on another PC) of saved as .PPS (rather than .PPSX) format?

Looking forward for some feedback.

Please, will somebody give the answers to Sam's question regarding the capability of Power Point 2007 allowing embedded videos as I have been struggling to find how to do this?
