I want to send a powerpoint file to my friend. It is 15M. But 5M at most is allowed. What should I do? How can I compress the file?

There is one more easy way to share the PowerPoint file with people.
Just upload the PowerPoint file for free to authorSTREAM and set it as private and share with the friend you want. You can upload the PowerPoint file of maximum 1 GB size. The link will not be accessible to anyone else as it is set as private.
You can also set the presentation to be downloadable, so that your friend can download that PowerPoint file.

Hi Aikoloveqa

You could also try our software, it can reduce PowerPoint files by up to 95%. It's called NXPowerLite and we currently have 50% off sale - http://www.neuxpower.com/store/ reply to this thread if you need any help.

Aiko - have you got lots of images in the presentation?

If so, it would be worth seeing if you can compress them as this can save huge amounts of space, esp if you're using digital camera pics or high resolution images.

1. Select a picure

2. If you're in Ppt '07 or 2010, click the Picture Tools tab and select Compress Pictures.

3. Choose your ideal resolution (it gives some hints in the dialog box)

4. Decide whether you want to delete the cropped areas of any pictures (PowerPoint hangs onto the information in case you want to un-crop later)

5. Click OK, save the file again and fingers crossed it's now much smaller!

This info is based on the article here that shows the steps and has screengrabs to help:

Good luck!
